Bell's Canyon

I heard from some girls I work with that there is a really pretty hike called Bell's Canyon near our home. So  Saturday morning Eric and I decided to go check it out. We both love to hike, and be outside, and try pretty much anything so we were excited!!! The hike was 4 miles round trip so overall pretty short and easy. The hike up through the canyon was clearly marked and there were a few other people hiking it too. When you reach the top of the canyon the view of the Valley is AMAZING!!!!

What was even more beautiful was the view of the mountains and the reservoir. It was bating hot, 94 out I think, but felt even hotter! All we wanted to do was jump in the lake, but no swimming is allowed, so we just put our feet in to cool off.

Then We hiked over to a waterfall, and eric decided cop a little squat right in the middle of it. But the water was so cold he cold only sit for a few seconds before getting up. The water is snow run off from the mountains, and it sure is freezing.

Before we headed back down the trail Eric carved our names into a wooden bench, and we hiked up to the top of pride rock! hahaha k not really pride rock but it sorda looked like it.

We had an awesome fun hike, and then got yummy frozen yogurt to cool down afterwards. Love my life!!

Sunburns

Saturday, Eric and I went to the pool for some relaxation and spent about 3 hours in the sun....needless to say, we got a little Fried. Okay well fried was a bit of an understatement Eric has now turned a nice shade of purple. I on the other hand hardly ever get sunburnt and all I got was a splotchy sunburn on my left arm.
Tahiti bronzer shoulder never be used on a white boy with a farmer's tan!

This was right after we came in from the pool! It is mush worse now!

Where I caught Eric trying to cool off! lol! Poor thing! I have been lathering him with Aloe every hour on the hour! :(

My splotchy sunburn....weird!

Catch UP

Sorry we haven't updated in a while. I guess nothing too new or exciting has been going on. Just life keeping us busy. Eric started his new job on wednesday. We are so excited he finally found something and will be working close to home. I also have new job news....well sorda. As you all probably know I work for an amazing company that was listed in Forbe's Magazine, but my dept. I work in is blood services, and it's kinda getting old and I only just hit my one year mark. Now this isn't too big of a deal because I am applying to PA school, but for the mean time I'll most likely be with this company for another year till school starts or hopefully if Eric gets this other job with BYU-Idaho that he applied for, then we'd be moving back to Idaho. Anyways I just put in papers for a promotion/transfer to the molecular sequencing department, yeah I know I'm a nerd haha. Anyways I'm keeping my fingers crossed for that. Well other updates...hmmm... they're as follows:
- Eric and I gave our first talks as Bro. and Sis. Hale on Sunday...our topic was pioneers, and we both hit it out of the ball park..LOL! (Not to brag or anything) :) But I can talk forever and did, so Eric ended up having to cut his talk in half and we still went 5 min. over.
-We had a friend, Brian Califf, come visit us for dinner one night as he was passing through town!
-Eric and I went to the Great Salt Lake for the first time just so we could say we did it.
-Eric and I both got gym memberships to Gold's Gym and met with a personal trainer..poor eric I'm pretty sure he could hardly walk for a week. hahaha
-Our friends (more mine than Eric's) :) Sydney and Steffaney moved back into our same apartment complex. Eric is afraid he'll hardly see me now hahahaha
-Eric and I went to temple square and watched the Legacy and snuck food and drinks into it... good thing the sister missionaries didn't catch us.
-We also went back to the Jordan Rivers temple again, but this time we did endowments, and this really sweet lady who didn't know me asked me to do a name for her...felt so honored and blessed.
-More dinner and movies with Dan and Kyli like usual, PS Kyli is Prego with baby #2!! We are excited to be an aunt and uncle again for the 7th time :) and hopefully this next weekend if Eric isn't working we will be driving up to Idaho Falls for our friend Kylee's wedding!!!! It would be nice to get away for a weekend.
-Last but not least I take my GRE for the second time on Monday so wish me luck!!! :) Next is CASPA application...wooohoooo!!! Will be so glad when its over, I am applying to, USA, ISU, Salus, Midwestern in Arizona, and maybe the U.

Here are a few pictures from last weekends adventure to THE GREAT SALT LAKE, and temple square. Love Free Date Ideas! More benefits of living in the city.

The Lake is much prettier in pictures than in person. The lakes smells, but not cause of the salt water. It's because of all the dead birds, fish and poop all over the sand...oh yeah and lets not forget gnats by the trillions. They moved in swarms every time you took a step..yeah needless to say we won't be going back. LOL!!! :)

Eric putting his feet in the water!!

Eric is a great photographer for candid shots! :) and Yes I am a priss pot who stands like this at will hahaha :)

In the OLD Tabernacle on Temple Square

While walking back to the car after the movie we had to get a picture as the sun was going down. You can't tell as much in this picture but with the sun shinning on the temple it looked golden, truly magnificent it is! I LOVE TO SEE THE TEMPLE!!!
