Rhett Hale Scherbel

It all started last night when Eric and I took Kyli and Brooklyn out for ice cream. I kept cracking jokes about how we were going to make Kyli go into labor early. Kyli was scheduled to be induced on Friday. We dropped off about 10:00pm. Her water broke at 3:30 am and after pushing through two contractions the baby was here at 5:30 am!!! She went crazy fast!!! Well at 7am I got a phone call from her saying that Eric and I were now the new proud uncle and aunt of a baby boy. I drove over to Daybreak to pickup Brooklyn, she was still at Dan's sisters house and no one was going to be there to watch her during the day. Thank goodness it was my day off work this week. So after going to pick up baby girl, and our short trip to H&R block to do our taxes we drove over to the hospital so Brooklyn could meet her baby brother for the first time, and well lets be honest for me to cuddle the cutie pie too. Eric was excited too, but sometimes he keeps emotions bottled up...I think to show he's manly. So here are a few pics from the visit....We are so Happy for Dan and Kyli....they named him Rhett Hale Scherbel, he weighed 6lbs and 2oz and was 19.5 inches long.

Be Mine Valentine

Valentine's Day this year was celebrated at home this year. Eric has been sick for a couple weeks (Bronchitis) so he didn't feel like going out, but he still was so sweet an tried to make it special. The day started off with Eric waking me up early just so he could give me the first half of his gift for me.

Then I decided to make breakfast for him...Pink eggs, pink yogurt, and pink strawberry milk....yummmm!

Then I headed off to work, Eric was lucky enough to have the day off, to rest. When I got home from work I was welcomed home with this.......

He set up dinner and a movie for us...showtime started promptly at 7:30....featuring Twilight Breaking Dawn

Happy Valentine's Day! We are extremely blessed to have found each other, and the kind of love we share. Hope you all had a beautiful day as well.

Feb Wkend

Last night, Eric and I went to a hunting show...let's just say there was bribing involved to get me to go :) I got to eat candy almonds while Eric looked at guns...fun! hahaha.

Then Eric and I drove around for about an hour, trying to find a parking spot in the city. Finally, after parking, Eric and I met up with our friends...

And then we went and saw this movie!!!

We really enjoyed the movie, and when I say we, I mean Kylee and myself, because the boys mostly had a good time making fun of how depressing the whole thing was, but Eric and I some good conversation about it while hiking back to our car. Basically Eric will never get remarried if i die, hahahaha just FYI for everyone out there who was wondering. 

Then today, I made Valentine cupcakes, it was fun...and they turned out pretty great!

Weekend Happenings

Eric's sister Kyli is prego and about to pop, so she came down from Rexburg with their mom for a doctor's appointment, and then ended up staying the night with us. We had a fun time being with them and with Brooklyn, our 2 yr old niece. We went to I-hop and Brooklyn got CHOCOLATE WASTED!!!

We then returned home, and watched Secretariat, and early this morning my mother-in-law Susan and I headed out to get some errands done. I got to play with Brooklyn a little more when we got home from shopping. Eric and I miss her so much. When Kyli and Dan were living here in SLC it was nice because we got to spend so much time together, but we got a little attached to this cutie, and now she is growing like a weed. We played on the Karaoke machine before they left. This is Brooklyn singing a little song of her own.  

Eric and I also were a little bummed out this weekend because my older sister Nina graduated from nursing school this weekend and we weren't able to make out to Ohio for her pinning. The rest of my family(ok only some) were able to go, and they took a few pictures and sent them to me while they were there. They all got to tubing this weekend, lucky ducks. They had a blast! I miss my family and hope I can go visit them soon....if only we weren't all spread out.
